To increase the physical activity levels of the people of Henry County. To improve the health and fitness of the people of our community.
Number of participants in 2009:
- 96 - Worksites, Community Groups, and Fifth Grades
- 1578Â - individual participants
Total number of prize winners – 1606
Total number of minutes exercised – 1,234,729
Survey results:
- 78% either Strongly Agreed or Agreed that they began exercising or exercised more because of participating in United Way’s Coming Alive program.
- 77% either Strongly Agreed or Agreed that United Way’s Coming Alive program has or will have a positive lasting effect on their exercise habits.
